The building of the former Hotel Dalmatia, located in Dugi Rat. Dugi Rat is a municipality, and ideal link between two cities, only 20km away from Split and 5km away from Omiš. Between the two cities, there is a series of villages, created as a continuous chain of houses and villages. The region has a lot of tourist attractions to offer. The whole region is rich in history, folklore and old artistic and heritage buildings. A superb touristic oasis Duće stretches along the coast between the towns of Omiš and Dugi Rat. It boasts breathtaking sandy, 4 km long beaches, encircled by rich mediterranean vegetation. Krilo is a little place, 4 km away from the hotel, well known for its naval tradition and for having one of the largest old sailing boats fleet on the Adriatic coast. These old sailing boats are nowadays being used as tourist attraction, still sailing across the Adriatic. With mountains of pine woods that reach all the way to the beaches, it makes this region particularly attractive, especially to history lovers, nature lovers and hikers. At the moment, the facility is not operational. The renovation works, that began in 2011, were never completed and need to be resumed. The facade has been repaired, windows and doors replaced, bathroom components and laminated floor in the rooms changed. The property has a capacity of 60 rooms spread over 7 floors, a wedding hall with a capacity of up to 400 people, parking in front of the building, a parking garage below the building and two elevators. The projected categorization of the facility is a 4-star hotel, and there is a building project ready that could upgrade the hotel to 160 rooms and possibly raise the categorization of the facility to 5 stars.
